 Highlights: The release party for Never Trust a Man in Alligator Loafers was a five-star event! Hosted by dating expert and author Donna Sozio, celebrity entertainers Paul Ryan, Nina Manni, Tracy Martin and Blake Griffen brought to the stage their favorite selections of the book while adding Sole Stories of their own. Teva, Rainbow Sandals and Tom’s Shoes for Tomorrow sponsored the Shoe Give-Away. MADISON at Fred Segal coupled shoe readings from Alligator Loafers with an interactive Men’s Shoe Exhibit. Guests dove into their gift bags filled with sweet swag while noshing on innovative appetizers and deserts.
The Swag: Bright yellow gift bags brimmed with Capelli NY slippers, the entire line of Astara Facial Masks, Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer Kits, Coral Tree Café and Golden Bridge Yoga gift certificates, Complimentary Facial Rejuvenations by Shohreh Pezeshki, the infamous book Wink by Roger Hamilton and affirmative jewelry by The Good Cheer Company and gift certificates for the Golden Bridge yoga center.
The Fare: Guests lined up for chef Dana Lynn Bridges’ endive crab salad, mozzarella & tomato balsamic skewers and delicious fresh tropical fruit sticks drizzled in decadent chocolate. Speaking of chocolate, Donna is a proponent of chocolate in her book and wouldn’t consider a party with Cacao Couture’s organic truffles! Coral Tree Café also served up dessert trays of extraordinary delight and Her Energy Drink kept everybody going until well past the after party at Borders Books and Ummba Grill in Century City.
